I believe in the power of open-source and open technologies to drive true innovation and empower everyone.  I also like videogames, primarily classic games, and will defend their straightforwardness and emphasis on gameplay over fancy graphics and the desire to interfere with the game to tell some elaborate story that, in the end, is not important.  

Primarily professionally skilled at system administration on Microsoft Server, GNU/Linux, and *BSD operating systems.  Also skilled with PC hardware and setting up and configuring local area networks.  Experienced with coding using several programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, and Perl).   I also have experience with Transact-SQL (using MSSQL) and MySQL.  I also have personal experience with Windows and GNU/Linux desktop systems, management and use of a wide variety of desktop software, and web development with PHP.
