The philosophers have only interpreted the world, in various ways; the point, however, is to change it.

Presentation of Self

I am a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at Georgia State University. I am also a sociology instructor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of West Georgia.  I live in Atlanta, GA with my husband, Rob, and our dog, Sahara.

I created this website for me, my students, my colleagues, and anyone else who stumbles upon it. For me, because I am constantly adding websites to my list of favorites and decided I needed to organize them (see Gender and Sexuality Links). For my students, because I have information to share with not only my current students (through WebCt) but also with students considering taking my courses (see Current Courses) and even students more generally (see Links for Students or Do Better Research). For my colleagues, because some of the information I share here might be useful to their students or be helpful for them (see Teaching Resources). For anyone else who stumbles upon this site, Links for Students and the other links are not really just for students or my colleagues, but you too, might find them useful.

Happy surfing!
