Welcome to STEP Engineering - home to all of STEP's crazy engineering projects. You will be able to find all the information for the respective projects, including updates, pictures, specification documents, etc.
Current projects: We've got a nice big group of volunteers, so we expect to get a lot of stuff done. You'll probably see us out and about on campus with our bike generators and solar barbecue throughout the summer. =) Workspace Our work area for our hand's-on projects lie in the Energy Research Centre Building in the 3rd Floor Solar Thermal Laboratory. If you have no idea where this lab is, check this youtube clip - The solar thermal lab is open 9-5 every day. We also seem to do a lot of work in smaller groups / independently ... whatever works. The lab can be access off-hours through STEP's lab manager and our set of keys - currently Kevin Burt (S11). If you go there alone, please tell one of the profs with offices beside that you're working with STEP, so they don't send the dogs. Finalized or critical design docs should be updated here to allow people to update themselves on the status of the project. Winter 2009: STEP organized a Wind Turbine Design Competition for the engineering first years. Good times were had by all.
