EARCAM - Ear Cam is a fun application that allows you to take a picture while appearing to be speaking on the cell phone. It's simple to use. Just start the application, answer the call, and aim the camera! Start, Answer & Aim.
USING EAR CAM
START the application.
Once the application starts, the screen will go almost completely blank. In 10 seconds, the cell phone will begin to ring, and an incoming call screen will appear. You will see three buttons, ANSWER, HANGUP and ABOUT.
ANSWER the call.
Press ANSWER. The IN CALL screen appears with three buttons. HANGUP and ABOUT are the only two buttons that actually work. While on this screen, if you touch anywhere, except where the three buttons are, you will take
a picture.
AIM the camera.
Hold the phone to your ear as if you were talking on the phone. Aim the lens toward where you would like to take the picture, steady the phone and touch the screen and voila!, a picture is taken. An indicator tells you when a picture is taken and the phone vibrates very briefly after it is taken. You can also press the middle pad button or trackball to take a picture. Every time you touch the screen, a picture will be taken. The IN CALL screen remains until you press the back arrow to "end" the call.
Your friends will think you are talking on the phone. No sound is made, no preview screen comes up. People will think you are just on the phone. You can even hold the phone steady and slowly turn your cheek to touch the phone and it will take a picture! This allows you to have fun with your friends take very candid photos!
VIEW your photos.
Once you end the application, the pictures are available in the Gallery application (or in Pictures application in 1.1)
NOTES:
- Ear Cam photos are stored on the STANDARD SD card, available for later viewing. You must use the cell phone's camera once before using Ear Cam. If you haven't, Ear Cam will tell you that the SD card has not been initialized.
- You can take as many pictures as your SD card will hold.
- Touching the back arrow on the screen is the ONLY way to end the application and return to the home screen of the phone.
- Press MENU to toggle VIBRATION on and off.
- If SD card default directories have been modified, problems with viewing pictures may occur.
