Spiritual Digestion
Reading for both the mind and heart.
Hello! I have to say that one of my weaknesses is a good 'ol book sale at the Grace Community Church bookstore. Yes, my church has it's own bookstore - how great is that? Better than a kid in a candy store. Over the past few years of college at UCLA, my collection of Christian books and resources have grown into a nice little library. Admittedly, I think I've only read through about half of my collection, and it gets worse when I can't resist those good book sales. I'm slowly making my way through my collection, and this web page is a little something I've set up to give reviews or chapter summaries of some of the books I've read. (And if any of you know me personally, you now know what I own and you are at liberty to ask me to borrow any book from me...granted that I'm not reading it at the time.) This is mainly an exercise for myself, to take the time to slow down and spiritually digest what I've read in a means to remember and apply it to my life. I've found that this takes incredible discipline - discipline which I sometimes lack. Sometimes the desire to finish a book overtakes my desire to sit down and write about it, so I apologize for any half-finished book chapter links. Most likely I've finished the book, but was so eager to start another one that I never "got back to it" as I intended. Whoops. This is all a work in progress...a very slow work, but I hope to start adding reviews and chapter summaries of some of the books.
