Jewellery and beautiful collectables
inspired by the techniques and aesthetics of medieval armour.
Caring for your Purchase Moisture is the enemy of metal. After wear or handling, wipe over with a soft cloth. The occasional application of a wax polish - ordinary furniture polish is fine-and a gentle clean with a soft duster will help keep the surface in good condition. As with all fine work, treat with a little respect and your purchase will provide long years of pleasure. | Julian Adams is an armourer. His armour website can be found at He creates armour and related artefacts that range in date from the bronze age to the C17th. Examples of his work are in private collections and museums and he is also available for talks and exhibitions What you see here is a beautiful range of unique jewellery and art objects, made using the same techniques and aesthetics required in the creation of his armour
The beautiful pieces on these pages are created in steel that has been hand forged, polished and much of it is also blued. Bluing steel is an ancient technique, but Julian has brought great subtlety and variation to this traditional practise and, in the process, brought into being something very special. The techniques used mean that no two items will ever be the same. All items are hand made and many will be created to order rather than from stock so, if something is required for a particular date or occasion, please email first to ensure that your order can be completed on time. We would hate for you to be disappointed. Commissions are welcomed and Julian can be contacted via email
