      Welcome to the RES music website.  The purpose of this website is to let you know the kinds of activities your child will be learning in music class.

     Music touches all our lives in many different ways whether we just listen to it or perform it in some way or another.  We hear it on TV, in movies, on the radio and in stores and restaurants.  It can affect our feelings and emotions.  Music is universal and can be heard in many languages.

     The elementary music curriculum is designed to teach children about all kinds of music and to be an extension of their regular classroom.  Your child will have opportunities to sing, dance, play instruments, and listen to a variety of music each time they come to music class.  In addition I try to teach them some basic music terms and understanding of those terms.

     I hope that your child will be excited about coming to music because I am excited about them coming.  I am looking forward to a great year!  Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your child's life.
