Vacuuming

Vacuuming

Get It Done Without Moving The Plug (because we know you'll likely give up at that point anyway)

  • Consider cleaning one room at a time, including vacuuming, and avoid the "I've run out of cord, that must mean I'm done," issue altogether.
  • Or, look for an outlet in a central location that might allow you to vacuum the entire house.
  • Add a short extension cord to your vacuum cleaner - it can even be wound up with the existing cord.  The smaller the receiving end, the better - it's less likely to get tangled.
  • When shopping for a vacuum cleaner, consider the length of the cord before you buy.

Create a Vacuum-Friendly Living Space

Space your furniture so the vacuum can fit behind and between your furniture.  Decorating pros generally recommend that furniture be placed away from the wall; take their advice and make it easier to vacuum behind furniture at the same time.

Consider Investing in a Robot...

Couch potatoes, unite!!  Encourage the use of robots to do the mundane for you!  Liberate the custodians of the world buy purchasing the i-robot!

Progress is good, we LOVE the idea that we can vacuum with out doing it ourselves!  (Besides, the cat can only eat so many crumbs, you know!)
