This event will be a chance for you to showcase your own form of performance art in a less than "run of the mill" fashion. The "Get Wet" crew is a loosely yet not so loosely connected group of roughly seventy 16-21yr old "Turfers". Get Wet is producing an event here at Flux 53 on June 27th which will be a showcase of their talent as well as the majority ( ~60% ) of the event being "dance/ performance battles". The founder of Get Wet Entertainment, Ifraj Rutherford told us yesterday that the dancers in her crew are great admirers of the circus arts / performance arts and are constantly looking to stretch the limit of their own style by incorporating things they can learn from other performance artists. Until recently Ifraj and Get Wet have done their performances strictly in parks and public places around the bay area as busquers, but as the group condenses into a "more legitimate" troupe they are hungry to produce events that will continue to push the envelope of performance art and allow for a lot of cross style fusion in a single event. Over here at Flux 53 this kind of idea is like music to our ears... and we are super excited about this event and think it will be a hella good time. Cmon...
