FACULTY in FILM, VIDEO, AND NEW MEDIA PRODUCTION The School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Department of Film, Video, and New Media seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position beginning Fall 2010. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience, teaching, and current professional status. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to Teach both theory and practice; to participate in curricular initiatives; and to advise undergraduate and graduate students in a fine arts context. Qualifications: Applicants must have an active professional creative practice with a significant exhibition record. The ideal candidate is committed to teaching media production and capable of creating a critical and inventive environment in the classroom. Applicants should be familiar with various methods of production—DIY to industry standards. A minimum of three years teaching experience at the college level is required. Saybrook Graduate School: Director of the Leadership and Sustainable Systems Masters Program - 50% time Saybrook Graduate School invites applications for a 50% (benefit eligible) faculty position as Director of the MA in Leadership of Sustainable Systems. We are seeking a leader who is well-versed and experienced in several areas of organizational leadership, who can develop the program and act as a mentor to the cohorts that enter the program. In addition to providing stewardship of the MA program, there will be opportunities to teach and direct research at the MA and PhD level. The position reports to the Chair of OS Programs. The position is a ‘core faculty’ position with an expectation that the faculty member would be in the San Francisco office at least once a week. Other duties may done from a home office as arranged with the OS Chair and the Dean. Responsibilities include:
