A warm welcome to everyone who is joining TSCP for our 2008/9 season!  Wishing you standing ovations at every show!
Thank you everyone for coming to the Convocation on July 20th.  Good news! We still exist A fond goodbye to Samantha Swailes who is leaving the Core Group, an equally warm welcome to Mark Ungar who is joining the Core Group, and a warm welcome to our newest TSCO member, the talented Abel Gomez.  The TSCP Core Group will be undergoing a period of revisiting our vision and renewal as we create a plan for TSCP’s future and the role that the Core Group plays within the whole.  A report will be presented in this newsletter in the Oct/Nov issue.
Stay tuned & check your August/Sept ish of Starlit Tales for a Full Report A Question of Sanity remains a TSCP production, some casting and tech needs are still unfulfilled. (Men who sing - please stand up!)  Contact: Lauren Renee Hotchkiss <laurhot-at- gmail.com>, Dick Bagwell is directing.
Three plays were selected:
For sometime late in 2009: Mustering Home by Kay Pannell, in collaboration with MART, others.  Contact Kay kay_pannell-at-hotmail.com for all info.
For the Holiday Season of '08: The Ring, a Mummer's Play for the Holidays- (choose your winter holiday--) written by Amy  & Bill Baldwin  -- very magical & charming. We'll meet at The Kensington Library for a re-production & preliminary casting on either Oct. 5 or 14 (both are Sundays)  (http://www.contra-costa.lib.ca.us/direct/ken.html) 61 Arlington Ave., 94707-1098(510) 524-3043, depending upon everyone's schedules.  Performance dates will be at several locales and ties in December & at Pantheacon in Feb.  It will be possible to have somewhat of a change over in the cast between Dec & Feb if schedules don't permit participation in one or the other.   This is a really charming & special production done in collaboration with a couple different groups. Info: Contact Lezlie at doclezlie -at -gmail.com for cast and music needs. Evelie will be music directing.
Probably Fall 2009: The Buried Moon, A Tale of Poetical Lunar Fancy description here: Contact Lezlie at doclezlie-at-gmail-.com – I (yer faithful Editrix, Lezlie) is interested in meeting and discussing this play with directors.
This month’s Starlit Tales contains descriptions of future plays, a statement about TSCP’s future, a review of Diana Paxon’s The Golden Hills of Westria, an essay on the definition of ritual theatre, and the usual pot potpourri of resources and events.  The deadline for the October/November issue will be September 20th.   May your Autumn Holidays be full of joy and your harvest be a plentiful bounty of all good things!  Yer Edtrix, Lezlie
