Responsibilities include taking emergency calls in an extremely stressfull environement then dispatching police, fire or ambulance as required. This job involves heavy multi tasking and attention to detail.

I was a certified Deputy Sheriff and also served as a liaison between the Sheriff and the public/media. I worked with print and electronic media as well as public speaking and teaching engagements.

 

10/90-6/96: TV 33, News/sports anchor/reporter. LaGrange, Ga., 706-845-8833.

Responsibilities included videography, writing and reporting local news.

 

Previously, I was General Manager of radio stations in Georgia and Virginia.

 

Graduate, Troup County (Ga) High School, 1981.

Attended Valdosta State College and LaGrange College with an emphasis on English and Journalism. Received Law Enforcement certification from Columbus State University.

 

Community volunteer: Troup Clean and Beautiful (former Board member), CrimeStoppers (former Board member), Boy Scouts Explorer program (former leader),

Troup County Parks and Recreation (volunteer youth coach), LaGrange Schools (volunteer), SafeKids of Georgia (volunteer).

  My experience has allowed me to polish my motivational and professional skills while at the same time learning to be a sturdy multi-tasker. I am proficient as a manager, a teacher and a leader. I never ask for more from my people than I am willing to give of myself.
