Commissioning of car rescheduled to spring/summer 2012. Meanwhile we are trying to get the landscape plan for its new garage signed off by Wiltshire Council Planners, so construction can start before planning permission expires in June 2012. It is a 4-passenger touring car "Special 12/15hp Model 607" as featured in the English Stanley Steam Car Limited catalogue, The car was delivered to an owner in Ireland, very probably the Earl of Antrim. By 1950 it was owned by Henry Brown, Rector of Ballygalley, County Antrim. It was sold by him to Harold Smith of Leicester, from who we bought the car in spring 2001. It has been undergoing extensive restoration ever since.
