 Aug - T-Shirt Making

Eight of us joined and had a fun, relaxing morning. The event first started out by the PIC at the society briefing us on the whole process, followed by self-introduction by both volunteers and their members. The members were all very nice and friendly people, aged between ~25-70. The event was well received by them and also our members. After making some very colourful, lovely T-shirts, several of us went for a delicious dim-sum lunch.

Route: Starting from the Old Post Office in Wanchai we took the Wanchai Gap Road and hiked up to the Police Museum. This part is the hardest as its all uphill. Fortunately the rest of the route isl downhill after the Police Museum. Along Cameron Road, we enjoyed the great view of the entire Southern district from Aberdeen all the way to Deep Water Bay. The road merges into Black's Link which eventually took as to the beginning of Deep Water Bay Road. We walked down Deep Water Bay Road to the golf club and Deep Water Bay beach. The best is always saved to the last -- We strolled along the Deep Water Bay beach then along the Seaview Promonade before reaching Repulse Bay beach. I guess it was a little too easy for the group as we arrived Spice over an hour early. We left Wanchai at 9:45 and reached Repulse Bay Spice at 12:15.

Route: Starting from Parkview (entrance of the Tai Tam Country Park), we hiked all the way down to the reservoirs where we spent some time to enjoy the beautiful views and weather. We crossed the Tai Tam reservoir dam and walked up to Quarry Gap (Tai Fung Au). We got off the paved roads then started our hike back to the reservoirs via Boar's Trail. We had wonderful weather throughout the morning; it was sunny but not hot at all. We spent more time at the reserviors, rested a little bit before finishing the final uphill hike back the Parkview where we had lunch at Ming Yuen at Parkview.
