St. Paul's C. of E. Primary School, Stalybridge, has been exchanging visits with Léo Lagrange Primary School in Armentières for 5 years.
Year 6 pupils from St. Paul's School spend a working week in Armentières before their school Easter holiday. They stay in a hostel in Armentières. They have working sessions at Léo Lagrange Primary School, along with French pupils of the same age. There are also visits to the town of Armentières and the surrounding area.
The Léo Lagrange pupils visit Stalybridge for a week at the end of May. They stay at Tameside Sea Cadets. They work in St. Paul's School along with year 6 pupils, and they visit Tameside and the surrounding area.
Before any of the visits take place, pupils have already corresponded with each other by email, so they have started to get to know each other. After the visits, the correspondence continues.
