Photography

 Amateur photographers from Stalybridge have been exchanging visits with amateur photographers from Armentières for 29 years.
Every two years, photographers from Stalybridge visit Armentières, and in the intervening years photographers from Armentières visit Stalybridge.
 
Watch the slide show of three visits made during the exchanges:
  • 2006: Rievaulx Abbey
  • 2007: Voting in Armentières, then a visit to Arras
  • 2008: Pub lunch, followed by a visit to the Gormley Statues on Crosby Beach - in the rain! (On the large versions, you can make out the Armentières umbrella.)

(6th May 2007 was voting day in the second round of the Presidential Elections in France; the Armentières photographers went to cast their votes before setting out on the trip to Arras.)
