Hotel Options:
We have rooms blocked out at three hotels, which are listed below. They all are equally distant from the wedding--a taxi from any of them to the wedding probably will be $10 at most. (Without traffic it would be under 10 minutes; however that's rarely the case in Manhattan. Allow at least 20 minutes to be safe.)
UPDATE (Feb. 27): Rates have been dropping lately, maybe because of the economy, so in some cases you may be able to get an even lower rate than the rate we locked in when we blocked out the rooms. We advise you to check online to see current rates before reserving a room in our wedding block.
- We have a block of rooms at The Helmsley Towers, which are near the New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center. They are essentially studio apartments with either a king bed or two double beds, and a kitchen that has dishes and dishwasher etc, and cable tv. It is at 70th and York. The building is part hotel and part housing for hospital staff. There isn't room service, but there are many restaurants that deliver in the neighborhood, and a 24-hour deli right next door. They are going to be $169 a night for the double and $176 a night for the king. Phone number to reserve is 212-472-8400, mention Hicks-Stallard Wedding to get the rooms. The rooms will be available until the beginning of April.
See this link for information and pictures. You would be staying in one of the Studio Apartments:

- We have a block of rooms at the Hilton at 1335 Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave. Between 53rd and 54th). (Avenue of the Americas is the same as 6th Ave.) They are singles and doubles as well; both are $270 a night. The block of rooms is being held until Wednesday, April 4.To reserve, call 1-800-HILTONS and mention the "Hicks & Stallard Wedding" as name of event for the discounted rooms.

Wedding location:
The entrance to the Boathouse is at 72nd and 5th, where there is a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off around the events. There are no cars allowed in Central Park, except with special permit. You can also take a horse-drawn carriage in from Central Park South. I believe there is an entrance to the park there near Avenue of the Americas (6th Ave).
