I am currently the head of data science and chief data scientist for EY Advisory Asean Team. Our team build horizontal data science competency to support delivery of business value to our client organizations across different sectors and functional domains. We combine traditional business consulting methodologies and data-driven discovery with Machine Learning, AI to maximize the throughput of our value-add to various organizations.

I was the head of analytics (Principal Scientist) in McLaren applied technologies (M.A.T), APAC. Our innovation here is people-centric and also facilitate real-time decision making and strategizing based on various kinds of data streams. We help our partners worldwide to lift their performance through what we call the McLaren way, an approach of integrating multi-disciplinary expertise in data-driven design, simulation, instrumentation and intelligence to enable new possibilities for various domains.

I had been delighted to be a scientist and lab head (distributed analytics) in Data Analytics Department (DAD) of Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), a member institute of A*STAR, Singapore. There, I researched on data pre-processing, practical machine learning issues, such as the data imbalance and active learning. I also work on techniques for mobile data analytics and the architecture for distributed analytics. I received several major awards including the role model award in recognition of my performance in the financial year of 2013, wining GE FlightQuest Phase I as a team member and winning activity recognition top prizes which is organized by Opportunity project team in EPFL, EU. Please find my achievement details in the "awards" page. I have also learnt and accumulated rich experience in collaboration with industry on various analytics and consulting projects. This has broadened my horizon in the applied technological world.

I had my PhD, MEng and first-class honors BEng degrees conferred from Nanyang Technological University in 2011, 2004 and 2001 respectively. My PhD researched on "Statistical Image Source Model Identification and Forgery Detection" and my MEng worked on "Learning Network and Structure Based Character Recognition". Both are collaboration with Prof. Alex Kot. My prior works in image forensics received the Best Paper Award in International Workshop on Digital Watermarking (IWDW) 2010 and was nominated as one of eight student best paper finalists in ISCAS 2010.
