Crewing

Sailing with Knight of Legend as crew member

As paying crew you are quite simply part of the crew. What does it mean? Well you participate in the daily duties together with the other crew members onboard. You are expected to, among other things:

Participate when we leave and come to port or a mooring.

Stand a watch (About 2 hours) you will be responsible for the boat under the skipper's orders.

Crew members prepare their own breakfast and Lunch at times to suit themselves, dinner is prepared by each crew member in turn for the rest of the  crew, and is served around 20.00

You don't need any previous experience of sailing, but it is an advantage if you are active, interested and want to learn more, it will make the experience even better.
Onboard the Knight of Legend we are all dependent on each other to have a good time together.

A day on board Knight of Legend

Days ashore
: When we go ashore during the day we generally go exploring and trekking or you may want to sun bathe and swim, it's up to you.
Most times we have dinner onboard sometimes we eat ashore.
Included in the price are all meals (besides those we take ashore) juice and water, harbour fees and fuel.
Please note that wine, alcohol, beer and soft drinks are not included in the price but you are welcome to bring your own onboard.

During days ashore we normally do things together but people are perfectly free to go on their own.
There are plenty of books, films and magazines on board to read and browse.

At anchor: We have many activities, Swimming Snorkeling, diving, exploring with the canoe etc

It,s not just about sailing

Sailing Days: We sail or motor depending on the wind. Everyone in the crew will be divided in watches with 1/2 persons in each watch and each watch is responsible for the sailing during one watch period of three hours under the skipper's directions.
Meanwhile the rest of the crew have time off, which means you can read, sleep, listen to your IPod, chat with the others or fish.

17.00 If we do a night sail we just go on, otherwise we anchor for the night

17.30 Now some might feel it is time for a sundowner while the meal is being prepared.

20.00 Dinner is served and afterwards we normally sit and talk into the night, watch a film or read.

Skipper likes to play Back Gammon so any crew member wanting to play or learn will be most welcome.
