The Land of Leonas

The land of Leonas is diverse island continent that has been isolated from the rest of the world for many ages. The land is full of many undiscovered wonders and dangers so much so that it has been left along to mature of its own accord for the many who have dared explore the continent few have returned. Many centuries ago an advanced civilization of explores dared to journey to Leonas what they found was unimmaginable. The Zenoians that came to Leonas as explorers eventually visting all parts of the continent from the mountains covering the western to the jagged islands that protect a large bay know as the bay of Leonas. The only area the Zenoians were unable to explore was the vast forest that stretched from accross the continent acting as a great bearer. Many attempts were made to explore the forest and all were meet with the death. A few strong explorerers were able to explore the outer reaches of the forest and discoverd a primitive speces of animal they felt could be breed into a suitable servent race.

After many decades of exploration, research and the creation of two new servent races the Zenoians where struck by a great plague of their own creation. The Plague would all but destroy the Zenoians leaving most of them in a state of living death and with an insatiable craving for flesh. With the decline of the Zenoians, Leonas was left to the Zenoain's children the Elves now living in on the plains of Ove and the Dwarves who have had a home in the massive caverns in the Mountains of Godric. Another race of people have also risen upon Leonas the product of Elven and Dwarven breeding the Humans. The three dominate races of Leonas are not along however as the Great Forest hold many secrets yet to be revealed.

All is not well on Leonas after 300 years of relative peace an army of everliving creatures have begun appearing near the Great Lake, these creatures infected with the Plague pose the greatest threat that the young races of Leonas have ever faced. To add even more fuel to an already raging fire, large sea going vessels have started collecting off the coast their numbers growing every day and the inhabitants of the Great Forest are starting to stir as well. The greatest war anyone on Leonas has ever seen is about tear Leonas at its seams and there are still many questions left to be answered.

The Goal
The goal of this site is to create a setting for the miniature war game Unbridled Fury. Each army will be released in phases with each army fitting into an over all setting that I will be creating as we go. Where possible I will also give figure suggestions to give players some idea of what to use with each army, of course players are encourage to use what ever miniatures they wish.

For More
For more insite in to the world of Leonas please visit the History section where I have outlined over 900 years of the History of Leonas. Keep checking this site as new army information is avaiable the background of Leonas will be continuely added upon and updated.

Design for Use with

Additional rules and changes as of Unbridled Fury Core 0.7.1
Land of Leonas is a Unit/Squad based game, groups can be made of characters and solo fighters however all other non-unique  fighters must be grouped into units of the same type.

All Tds and Cow Checks are to be made by units rather than as individuals.

Characters and Models with Command dice may join any unit they are within 3 inches of at either the beginning of an activation. At the end of the activation provided they are not in contact they may leave the unit.

Opposed attribute tests, in the event that an opposed attribute test is needed both players roll a d12. The fighter that succeeds in their test and is closest to their attribute value is the winner. If both fighter fail the test is considered a failure for both.

Wounded Models roll the next lowest die when making any rolls effected by wounds.ex. a D10 is rolled instead of a d12 when wounded or a d4 is rolled instead of a d6. A Lucky will still occur when the highest value is rolled on the die.

Melee Combat Resolution  simplified for Mass Combat
  1. Move models into contact and make any Tds or Cow tests as necessary.
  2. Resolve all combats between all fighters.
  3. Any models wounded must fall back 1d4 inches.
  4. Cow test are taken for any casualties and resolved per standard rules. If one side retreats the other is considered the winner of the combat round and may skip to step 8.
  5. Calculate combat resolution
    1. Any model not wounded this combat round, that is on the winning side of combat resolution and not in contact with an enemy may follow up 1d4 inches.
    2. Any remaining models that were not wounded this combat round and are part of the units involved in the combat as well as not in contact may follow up 1d4 inches.
  6. If any models are still in combat after all follow up moves a new combat begins.
  7. If there are no longer any models in contact the losing side of the last combat round must take a Cow test. If failed the unit will retreat per normal rules.
  8. The wining side of the last combat may consolidate all units involved in the combat 1d4inches but may not come into contact with any enemy models.
Sub Commanders
During the Command Check before each turn roll all command dice from all Commanders of the army, Only models that are actually assigned as the Commander or Sub Commander may have their dice included in the Command Roll, characters with command dice that are not actually commanding are not included.
Once the dice are rolled the total result is used as normal however the individual dice for each commander are give back to the model the result indicating how many orders they may us on units they command. The Commander may use his activations to command any unit not under command by a sub commander. Sub Commanders may only use their available activations to command their units.
Sub Commanders can order any unit that they are within 3 inches of. Sub Commanders may issue orders without joining the unit they are commanding.
