Review of NAF Atsugi Healt Risk Assessments and related environmental data to determine if additional population-based medical screening is indicated - page 7 is the start of Battelle's report.

  • Establish an Outreach Program for Communication with Former NAF Atsugi Residents - NMCPHC claims that this is the outreach program.
  • NAF Atsugi Residents to follow the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force guidelines for routine preventive care
  • Exposed NAF Atsugi Population should be defined and identified in an Atsugi Registry - Read the 09 report regarding loss of Followup and records not available for whole study period
  • Children who were under 16 Respiratory Heath screening - NMPCHC declined this recommendation
  • Neuro-Behavioral outreach program from effects of lead exposure - NMPHC declined this recommendation
  • Evaluation of Current NAF Atsugi Soil Contamination- this was completed -  2008 NAF Atsugi SOIL Analysis Reports

Can Navy Medicine deliver an ethical and unbiased report on this topic? NO!! 

 

Is it ethical that the NMCPHC eliminated central nervous system, liver and kidney damage in the 09 NAF Atsugi Health study based on the 2002 reports?    NO - This is bias and unethical.

The Navy identified specific health risks associated with residing at NAF Atsugi from 1985 to 2001 and a follow-up health study has been requested.

As indicated on the Draft Pregancy Facts for Atsugi  "all Navy Personnel have access to quality pre-natal care and education, something not all Americans enjoy.  Miscarriage rates should be compared to rates at Navy hospital in the U.S."
