Welcome to my Webpage!

I am a freelance design engineer. My first degree was from Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK [http://www.brookes.ac.uk], where, I studied Automotive Engineering and my PhD was in the area of numerical vibro-acoustics & structural dynamics. After my doctoral work, I have worked for the Super Aguri Honda Formula 1 Team [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Aguri_F1] and later with the Force India Ferrari Formula 1 Team [http://www.forceindiaf1.com] as a Junior Design Engineer, reporting to the Chief Designer & the Head of Composites Engineering. My research interests are in the areas of numerical methods for mechanical engineering and on vehicle type engineering - including aerospace & underwater vehicles - in particular. Recently, I have joined an Investment Bank in London to learn & execute pricing of financial derivatives.

On this webpage, you will find some of my research related work in mechanical engineering (see Attachments on this page).

Automatic [Algorithmic]
Differentiation...

*] Recently, I have started to learn Algorthimic Differentiation or the so called Adjoint methods for sensitivity computations. To this end, there seems to be a book: Evaluating Derivatives: Principles and Techniques for Algorithmic Differentiation. I have just started on this book & I should say, it is well written and easy to understand {from a scientific computation viewpoint}. More info is available on the  webpage: http://www.autodiff.org Enjoy!

Structural-Acoustics....

*] I will be running a small mini-symposia at the 9th International Conference on Theoretical and Computational Acoustics [http://www.ictca2009.com] from 7th to 11th September, 2009, at  Dresden, Germany. The focus will be on Reduced Order Models and Optimization. Structural-Acoustic applications are preferred, but "pure" mathematical ROM work with potential future applications are also welcome! If you have any relevant contribution, do not hesitate to contact me!
