ME ;-)

I am your average Jane. Nothing ordinary or extraordinary about me.  I am extrovert of sorts and have a huge circle of friends. Cricket is my passion and Sachin is almost a god to me. I have grown up watching the game and at one point wanted to make it my profession too. Well, I still watch and follow the game closely but hardly have played the game since 2000 :(

I spent close to 13 wonderful years at Padma Seshadri KK Nagar, Chennai Tamil Nadu, India, Indian Sub-continent,Asia, Earth, Universe, Solar System (I hardly remember my  Geography and Science to continue this list.. I hope my mom is not seeing this else she would be wrath with anger ) I have some sweet memories from my stay at PSBB, made friends for my lifetime and above all learnt discipline and culture.

Next stop was at DAV Matric Gopalapuram (Chennai). Class XI and Class XII were a struggle. Trust me! The school and its faculty made study, study and study more and harder!! I had to write and practice till my right hand said, "Stop using me" and advised my left hand to take it further. Not that I became ambidextrous but I started using my left hand to write (or rather scribble) with different color pens!!! So ultimately I completed schooling for DAV (with flying colors.. I still have no clue).

College days are considered the most interesting phase of a human's life. And yes life at SVCE (Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering), it was the best (till I headed to Great Lakes.. More on this later..) I found my best friends at college. People in whom I confide a lot, fight a lot, dance a lot, sing a lot, talk a lot, chat a lot, email alot. I still wonder how quickly the four years just whizzed past me. From being a hardworker, I became a hardly worker. 15 min naps, 1000 pages to read with just a couple of days for the exam, Orkut, scrap, chat, gmail, SMS, missed calls, CAT Exam became such a cliche. Btw, I earned my first few cash awards at SVCE only and more than this my first job at Wipro.

A short stint for 6 months at Wipro was what followed next. And this period just added more friends to my list. My first employer made me stay away from home and made me undergo all the trouble  of staying away from  and no work (and only training). As people say (now dont ask me who, when, where, why, how) there is light at the end of every tunnel. Read on for more details.

Great Lakes has become so synonymus with uncle Bala. Of late everybody who has been talking to me about Great Lakes has been enquiring about Uncle. And why would they not.. he is such a famous figure (atleast in the corporate and academic world), an illustrious Indian American, an awesome management guru, a great networker, an inspirer.. Am sure this space would not be sufficient to write about uncle. I would probably reserve it for someother time. Great lakes brought together great minds. 162 different individuals under one roof and no prizes for guessing what would be the outcome.. IT WAS CHAOS ALL THE WAY! From meeting Dr Philip Kotler to late night assignments (at Lake Veeranam - a long room located on the second floor of the one-building temporary campus) to projects to fun to guest lectures ( from people who I could not have met otherwise ) to placements to sleepless nights to........... OMG!! I have enjoyed so much at Great Lakes and to sum it up in just a phrase - THE BEST PHASE OF MY LIFE so far.

Managed to get into Infosys Technologies and work for them as a Business Analyst. An MBA grad, a cricket maniac with a myriad of emotions and a movie buff - Srinidhi's 4 Ms (Uncle's students - does it ring a bell??)
