I picked up the Lil Elper UDF unit tonight. It looks brand new and appears to work fine although I haven't put it to the real test, so let's get our ground team training underway. Capt. Larry S. Peterson (posted 28 Jan 2009)
At next Thursday's meeting, we will be doing a ELT search for a practice signal at the airport starting right a 6:30. I need some help beforehand to put out the ELT and to assemble the gear.

Because we only have one DF Unit, some cadets will be using the hand held radio or aircraft band hand helds. Be prepared to use either device to find the ELT.
