Call for Abstracts

University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana will host the annual Environmental Engineering and Science Program Spring Symposium. Each spring semester, the Environmental Engineering and Science Program sponsors a symposium at which our graduate students present their research. With a number of concurrent multi-paper sessions, the symposium contains a wealth of information about current cutting-edge research. Details on the symposium to follow.

The EES Spring Symposium will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009. I don't believe a formal call for abstracts has been made yet, but the tentative date for the abstracts to be due is February 15, 2009. A list of other tasks and tentative deadlines is below:

-- Confirm a speaker (ASAP -- suggestions welcome)
-- Set arrangements for speaker's hotel (ASAP)
-- Website development (February -- before invitations are sent)
-- Draft a letter of invitation and send invitations (February 28)
-- Organize abstracts into a schedule (March 15)
-- Create a booklet of abstracts with the schedule (April 1)

Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated!
