COLOR AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

 Grades 5 – 9          ETR Art Rm.         8:30 – 10:00 AM          Jun 28-Jul 2

Design your favorite product – car, cereal box, postage stamp, rock band, or movie poster, and many more using your imagination.  Use color pencils, markers, water colors to transform your ideas to poster.  Tuition includes material cost.  Bring a friend and have a lot of fun.

CARTOONING AND ANIMATION

Cartoons may be funny but to create your own cartoons can be challenging and fun.  Design original cartoon characters, animate your cartoons with simple drawing techniques – perhaps a flipbook!

PAINTING & THE YOUNG ARTIST

Art at its best – experience a variety of art forms and techniques.  Abstract and realistic – painting, watercolor and sumi-e (brush painting).  Try your own style.  Tuition includes material cost.

FUNDAMENTALS OF ART

START SPEAKING FRENCH

A Course for All Elementary/Middle School Students Interested in the French Language

This fun-filled, introductory program for student’s grades 1 – 5 will expose elementary students to the wonderful world of the French language. Starting with things you know and combining the same with pictures and scenes will lead to start speaking French!  Students will travel to France with movies, cartoons, and fairy tales.  Learn French words through games and a different theme each day.  Explore the basic language and culture of the unique French.  A must for students interested in becoming familiar with one of the worlds’ great languages.

FASHION DESIGN

Grades 8 – 10  SHS Rm. 134      10:30 - 12:00PM    Jun 28 - Jul 2        In this course, students will be introduced to drawing for the fashion industry.  Students will study fashion magazines to discover the latest styles in clothing, shoes, and accessories.  Using this information as inspiration for their own designs, students will discuss their ideas and create their own design boards.

COSTUME DESIGN 

Grades 7 – 10  SHS Rm. 134     1:00 – 2:30PM    Jun 28 - Jul 2  Students will research the history of costumes for dance and stage.  Design an outfit for your favorite star or for yourself.

Students will learn about budgeting and saving money in a fun way.  Students will have the chance to spend one session touring the Alliance Bank, learning how a bank runs.
