BJ Dobrkovsky (7th year at Sprague)

Entering his 7th year at the helm for the Olys, Coach Dobrkovsky is looking for this years team to get back to the top of the Central Valley Conference. Coach Dobrkovsky recieved his bachelors degree (B.A. Economics, minor in psychology) and masters degree from Willamette University. At Willamette University Coach Dobrkovsky lettered 4 times in both basketball and baseball. He was a part of an NWC championship team in both basketball and baseball and also a part of two other playoff teams during his tenure at Willamette. After graduation, coach Dobrkovsky was an assistant coach for Willamette under the all-time winningest coach in bearcat history Coach Gordie James. Currently, Coach Dobrkovsky is in his 8th year teaching at Sprague where he teaches math and also is an assistant baseball coach. He lives in Salem with his lovely wife Aubrey, adorable daughter Bella, and expecting their second little one this coming March.
Matthew Schmidt (1st year at Sprague)
Varsity Assistant
Coach Schmidt brings a youthful and enthusiastic approach to our program. His experiences that he has had as collegiate player at Western Oregon University and tryouts with professional leagues will bring a 21st century look at the game of basketball and how it has evolved. His versatility to work with different positions and players will help us to develop players at all levels. Coach Schmidt is currently finishing up his bachelors at Western Oregon University in buisness.
Travis Myers (1st year at Sprague)
JV Head Coach
Coach Myers joins the staff afterspending the last four years at Dallas High School. Coach Myers brings a positive workmanlike attitude to our program and coaching staff. His ability to motivate and teach our schemes will allow for our teams to be successful for many years. Coach Myers is also in his first year of teaching at Sprague High School, where he teaches special education. Coach Myers live in Salem with his lovely wife Amber and two adorable daughters Aryah and Peyton.
Jordan Lewis-Grenato (1st year at Sprague)
Varsity/JV Assistant
Coach Lew is joining the staff this year after playing two years at Corban University. Coach Lew will bring his excitement and passion to play the game to our staff and players. His ability to teach individual skills along with his experience with the CVC will raise the level of our program. Coach Lew is continuing to finish his bachelor in education at Corban.
Mike Wilson (16th year at Sprague '94-'05, current)
Head Freshmen Coach
Coach Wilson returns for another season at Sprague High School. Coach Wilson has taught for 33 years and has coached for 28 of those years, including 16 years at Sprague. Coach Wilson brings a wealth of knowledge to the bench and also a competitive toughness that will be contagious throughout the program. Coach Wilson currently is retired and enjoying his game of golf as much as possible. He lives in Salem with his wife Sue.
