Shout Out | 1st Major Project Musical and Dance Production
St. Peter Parish – Parish Youth Commission (SPP-PYC) in cooperation with The Family of God Catholic Charismatic Community, a group based in the Kawan of Nuestra Senora dela Paz y Buenviaje at the Old balara Chapel, will stage a concert entitled “Pagbabalik” For the Greater Glory of God. This concert is a modern version of the Prodigal Son. This will be held on August 30, 2008, Saturday, 8:00 PM at the main Church of the Parish.

Pagmumuni-muni ni Rosel Pagababalik Concert at St. Peter Parish  Photo by: Dino Dimar (Marlyn Cababay and Dranreb Pelone during the Technical Dress Rehearsal) Before I left for Australia, I was appointed as the new Youth Coordinator of St. Peter Parish. St Peter Parish is composed of 14 chapels covering Old Balara, Ayala Heights, Celebrity, Ayala Hillside, Alpha Village, Capitol Hills, NCE1, Filinvest 1, Dupax, Liwanag, Feria, towards Batasan. So, practically im in charge of all the Youths from Balara to Batasan including all the rich villages in COmmonwealth Avenue. That was stressful for me. The night that I was finally appointed as the new Youth Coordinator, I wasn't able to Sleep! I was telling myself, shocks! totoo ba 'to??? All the people were telling me "Rosselle, congrats!!!" Parang ako, "Anong congrats? hindi pa Condolence?" Why? because it would mean sacrifice, time and self denial. Yes, Im serving in the Church since grade 2. Yes, I'm used to such things pero, putting me in some place na Im not used to means a lot for me. Pero, it also means prioritizing this.. at isangtabi si Jeff, isangtabi all the things that i love and i like. Then, after some time... nangangapa pa ko... I had meetings with the Parish Youth Core Group and Fr. Tony, our Parish priest was present every meeting.. nakabuo na kami ng plans... nagyon.. nabuo ung idea na i-rerun ung concert in Old Balara and bring it to St. Peter Parish. The meeting was last June 21, 2008 and we decided to stage the concert, August 30, 2008. Before I left, I made sure everything was in control.. Tapos, when I was in Australia, iniwan ko ung concert Philippines. I just prayed for it and trusted the people I left behind. When I came back, everything wasn't in control. I was even freaking out. There were nights na during a meeting, I would suddenly cry. I didn't have the courage to tell this to my school friends like J-Ann, Carol, mahal, Cess and Mabel for they were also busy withtheir own lives. I can'ts hare my struggles to anyone. All they know is that Im busy with my life. and that is all. I needed people oustide of the Parish Youth Core na mapagsasabihan ng mga struggles ko. Pero, wala. Kc this was a joint project with Odl Balara's family of God - my community. Kaya ungibang struggles ko, connected sa kanila. One time, I cried.. tapos.. I was asking my Core Group- was it a sign of being weak? Thank God, kay Regina.. she was telling me, "no.. ur not weak.. it only shows ur human!" and then I realized, ung naging Philosophy ko sa pilgrim ko sa WYD... "humility and All for the Greater Glory of God" Yun exactly ung reason bakit naging masaya ako. I gave a part of me. I removed my mask. Sumandal ako sa power ni God. Its not me. Its not because of me. Magsusucceed 'tong concert hindi dahil magaling ako and all. Magsusucceed 'to kasi, lahat ng ito para kay God. Siya ang may gusto nito. This is my service to him. And then.. MIRACLESstarted to happen. we raised funds. we reached our objectives:
at hindi man dumating and 2 intermission na si Fr. Allan samonte and Fr. James Nitollama... hindi man dumating ang Guest of Honor na si Bishop Antonio Tobias... andun naman para sumuporta ang mga sumusunod: WYD Family (binubuo ng mga Youth leaders from different parishes under the umbrella of the diocese of novaliches) Dino- ang aming Photographer na import from Good Shepherd na ilang gabi ng nakikiuyat sa aming mga ensayo! Bro, saludo ako sa'yo!!! ang bait mo dude! hehe sample ay nasa itaas. Justine, Allan(na INDIAN nuong mismong event), Ate Maye - na nagphotoshoot nuong aming technical derss rehearsals, ate abby - na nanood nuong Technical dress rehearsals Pipo - na nagvideo shoot ng buong production.. pipo, salamat kahit napagod ang iyong leeg. Jen, Mommy Gel, Zsierr, Mayor, Nikki, Kuya Noel, Kuya Gen, Kuya Mike, Che-Ann. . May kulang ba? NDPYM (Novaliches Diocesan parish Youth Ministry) Kay Kuya Pao, Ate Carmsat sa lahat ng NDPYM na nagpunta! :D SPVYM (St. Peter Vicariate Youth Ministry) Sa lahat ng tga Vicariate na nagpunta at nag-critique para sa critique night sa pangunguna ni Darwin ng KristongHari.. Salamat! :D Salamat ng marami sa lahat ng tumulong at sumuporta
Malaking bahagi ng katagumpayan nito ay si ATE Diane. Ang Dating Youth Coordinator ng SPP. She initiated the VISITA project and this helped us a lot. We were able to reach out the youths of the parish. :D Thanks Ate Diane. :D
