Welcome to the website of the Sportsman’s Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected conservation organizations. We are one of almost 300 local chapters nationwide dedicated to protecting our nation’s soil, air, woods, waters and wildlife. We are proud to offer our grassroots support and commonsense approach to solving conservation issues. Our members' interests span the spectrum of outdoor recreation and conservation from fishing and crabbing to bird watching and photography, to hiking and hunting to just plain walking along the rivers and rocks of Harford County. But we all share one major goal: to protect, manage and enjoy America’s rich resources to ensure a high quality of life for all people. Our focus has, and always will be on teaching the next generation about our great outdoors!
The Sportsman’s Chapter was formed in 1929 in Pylesville, MD, and encourages family participation in all our activities. We hope you like what you see. Please contact us or stop by if you’d like information on becoming a member of our chapter!
