* i have not ordered these components just yet as i have stand in's for them, but i will order them soon

so my original was idea to sell off a bunch of my crap so i could order a sweet new laptop computer which i have always wanted. i spent a lot of time selling my miscellaneous electronics such as game consoles and mp3 players and other such gadgets.

a buddy of mine pointed out a really nice laptop for the price of $1599. it was the msi gt729. it had a 1920x1200 screen, a bd-rom drive, 4 gigs of ddr 3 ram, a nice ati 4850 1gb video card, and other such desirable components. well, i saved and i saved and i saved some more and finally i was able to place my pre-order for the laptop. i needed to preorder it because the manufacturer (msi) had not released it to market yet. so i go ahead and place my oder and then i am told that msi has decided not to release it in north america. man i was so let down. i was pretty bummed for a couple of days.

that weekend we decided to have a lan party over at my house in my garage. there was only the three of us so i guess it wasn't much of a party. and all we ended up playing was farcry (still as awesome as ever multi-player though!) so in the midst of the playing, my computer locks up multiple times. i have a very old install of vista 64-bit running on my computer now. it's been going strong for about 2 years with little or no problems. so i get frustrated with my computer acting up. i say out loud "if this shit happens one more time i'm just gonna go ahead and order that desktop pc i put together on newegg.com yesterday!" well my computer took that as a challenge and went ahead and locked up again, only this time i was running the multi-player server so it not only screwed me, but the other two people that were playing.

so 5 minutes later i had a new core i7 pc being delivered to my house sometime towards the end of next week. i had it shipped 3-day express from newegg.com and it'll ship out on monday so i expect it around wednesday or thurday.

assembly shouldn't be an issue, i just don't like doing it. it's almost always a pain in the ass and i always forget to plug in at least one thing and i have to go over everything again and find it. also i didn't buy an operating system to go with it so i'm gonna use my vista ultimate 64-bit cd key for the last time it can be used to switch to a new computer and reinstall a cracked version of xp pro on this computer. i'll get in touch with some of the peopel i know at microsoft and get some copies of windows 7 when it's time for that.
