Who We Are

The Spokane Alyce Baker Chapter consists of members of the American Institute of Parliamentarian (AIP) living in the Spokane, Washington area. Chartered by AIP as Chapter #2 on December 7, 1963, the objectives of the chapter, as set forth in its Bylaws, are:

          1. To promote the use of parliamentary law;
          2. To elevate the standards of parliamentarians; and
          3. To encourage public interest in parliamentary procedure.

Meetings

 
Regular meetings normally are held at 6:00 pm on the third Thursday of each month, except July, August, and December. Each meeting includes both chapter business, and an educational program on one or more parliamentary authorities, including:
* Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised (RONR)
* The Standard Code of Parliamentary Procedure (TSC)
* Demeter’s Rules of Parliamentary Law and Procedure
* Riddick’s Rules of Procedure
* Cannon’s Concise Guide to Rules of Order
Our  next meeting will be the regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Thursday, March 15, 2012. at Frankie Doodles Restaurant, 30 E. 3rd Avenue, in Spokane. The educational program will be presented by Deanna Griffithy, subject to be announced.
