Splenda Story 1008

Stomach Pain and Vomiting

I wanted to tell you our story:

It started almost four years ago when our son started having very severe stomach pain.  A terrible tightening, right in the middle of his chest.  Then he would have uncontrollable vomiting.  We would have to take him to the emergency room, and they would give him an IV with anti-nausea medicine for the vomiting and morphine for the pain.  The ER visits were sometimes two or three times a week.

We took him to a pediatric-gastroenterologist.  They did every test in the book.  They even put him under and put a scope down his throat to look in his stomach.  Nothing ever showed up except some minor inflammation of the stomach lining -- nothing the doctor thought would cause such severe problems as our son was having.

After 3 1/2 years of ER visits, doctor appointments, test after test, and thousands of dollars in doctor bills, we finally -- by chance -- took sucralose out of his diet.

BINGO!  Ninety-nine percent of his symptoms cleared up almost overnight.

It has been six months now, and he has been healthy.  He still gets mild heartburn that clears up with some Rolaids if he eats a big dinner.  Our son is 13 now and is finally gaining weight and looking healthy again.  This was the worst thing to see him going through this.  I want everyone to know our story about the horrors of sucralose (Splenda).  Why aren't the doctors suggesting people take this out of their diet if all other tests some back negative?  Thank you for listening to our story, and please, everyone, spread the word!
