Chess Club Fast Facts

Now accepting registrations for the 2009-2010 season

Dates: Fridays, October 16, 2009 – April 16, 2010 (only when school is in session)

Time: 3:15 - 4:30 pm

Place: Spiritridge Gym

Who: Kindergarten - 5^th graders

Cost: $185.00 (Excludes tournament fees. Includes workbooks and T-shirt)

For the 2009-2010 school year, we will have National Master, Josh Sinanan as our lead instructor. He is one of the top players in Washington state, with a a rating over 2200, and has been a key instructor with the Chess Star organization for over 3 years.

Students of all chess skill levels are welcome. 

The primary approach to club will be instruction for competitive chess playing. A transitional group for students new to chess will be formed on an as needed basis to prepare them for the more structured instruction that focuses on competitive play.
