Bird Shots 2

Harry the Heron in Flight.

I caught this Vireo and Cardinal between wing flaps!

This is called a "dole" of Doves.  Honest!

These Mallards are always in and around the backyard.

The state bird here in Tennessee.....the Mockingbird.

It took until July for the Hummingbirds to show up regularly at the feeder.  Now they are always around the feeder!

Hummingbirds can not "hop" or "walk"....they can only "sit" or "hover".
NOW.......YOU KNOW!

Click HERE to see a short video clip from my Hummingbird feeder!

These are Black Vultures.  They are always soaring high in the sky overhead.
These two guys saw something interesting on the ground.

A Belted Kingfisher looking for breakfast at sunrise.

Not a ripple on the water today......

A silhouette of a Wren on my window feeder looking for a worm!

The beautiful...acrobatic...but "pesky" Tree Swallows.

This Titmouse (and other birds) love the protection of the Magnolia tree leaves.

This American Goldfinch poses for her picture!

The Pied-Billed Grebe will spend their winters in our area.
