Bird Shots

EXTREME CLOSEUP!  A Tufted Titmouse.

The Cardinals are the first at the feeder each morning and the last at night.

A little Carolina Wren stops by to take a grubworm.

Harry the Heron is having a bad hair day.

Other than the Bluebird, this is my favorite bird to watch.  The Black Capped Chickadee.

This Cooper's Hawk was looking for more than seeds at my feeder!

This female Cardinal would NOT come out of the shadows for her portrait!

An occasional visitor to the lake shore is the Green Heron.

The ladies coming in for a landing........

A Rufous Sided Towhee.  (notice the red eyes...)

(a closer look at the red eyes...)

A beautiful Cedar Waxwing in the Magnolia tree.

A little House finch poses in the sunlight.

A Black-Crowned Night Heron stops by occasionally to go fishing.  He'll eat almost anything..
fish...snakes...small turtles...lizards...eggs...what ever he can catch almost.

This Carolina Wren flew into our house while the door was open.  He tried to fly through the picture window and knocked himself silly.  He then perched himself on my finger until he got his senses back and then flew off.  He's okay.

A belted Kingfisher.  These guys are hard to sneak up on!
They don't like their picture taken.
I had to use the LONG lens to get this!
