Spike's Backyard - Bluebird Box

Home

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my back yard!  As many of my friends know, I love to watch the birds.  I thought that through this web page you too, can see what I've been seeing in my backyard.  My camera is always handy!
We recently moved to middle Tennessee and we are located right on the banks of Old Hickory Lake.
As you can imagine, that leads to an abundance of bird life.  Those birds that prefer the trees and bushes...and those who prefer the water.
I also plan to use this site to
keep tabs on my Bluebird box. They successfully built nests and raised two different broods this year (2009).  I have installed a camera in the nesting box and when the nest building begins next season, it will "go live" online so you can enjoy the whole process in front of your eyes.  There are plenty of pictures and video from this season (2009) in the "My Bluebird Family" sections.
This website will be a constant "work in progress."  I am always adding photos or videos to it.
  I
Enjoy my backyard...and drop me a note if you'd like to!  Let me know what you think.

A special welcome and thank you to all of the International visitors to this web site.  I have inserted a  flag counter (above) of everyone who drops by to take a look.  If you don't recognize the flag...simply click on it and it will tell you what country it is from.

3 days old!  Look at that inter-locking golf grip!  Just like Nicklaus!
Excellent!

Michael, Sarah, and a fussy Eli.......

As promised, here is a picture of me holding my first Grandchild!  He is Elijah Michael O'Dell...born September 23rd.

My wife Karen, holding the future Masters Golf Champ.

...and....this is Cade Thomas Martin!

He was a Thanksgiving day surprise!  Born 6 weeks early and in Atlanta while visiting relatives, he will need to stay in the NICU unit for awhile to "catch up" a little before coming back home to Nashville.  He's a stud!  Caroline and Chris are elated!
  He's a 6 pounder!  Woo-Hoo!
