Why are speeches so important in an election?
Speeches are an integral part of the election process. How a candidate delivers a speech is an important aspect of how they are received by the public. A speech can make or break a candidate. As we study the speeches of the current presidential and vice presidential hopefuls, we will learn what should be included in good speech writing, and we will also learn how a speech's delivery affects the impact on the audience.
What are the ingredients of a speech?
When rating a speech, you should be taking notice of the speaker's body language, comfort level, articulation, content knowledge, and their ability to answer the question directly.

Rate the politician's speeches for each of these crieria categories on a scale of 1 to 5. The lowest score is 1, the highest is 5.
