Sewciables
This group was started by the United Methodist Women
as part of a national quilt project called "Prayers and Squares."
The quilts are hand made and presented to newborns,
as well as ill children and adults.
The Sewciables have grown and now include members
from other churches and the community. They now work on all sorts
of crafts, including Protestant Prayer Brads. The group holds a
community-wide Arts & Crafts Fair in the fall and proceeds from
Sewciables' sales go to the purchase of quilt material and craft
supplies.
