The directions on how to get to Barnes and Noble on 7th Avenue is simple. From whatever train you take, you MUST transfer to the F train, and get off on 7th Avenue.  Exit on the West Exit (7th and 9th): which says Methodist Hospital on it. When you're outside, walk straight (completely) until you see the hospital. Right across the street should be Barnes and Noble.

The directions on how to get to Barnes and Noble on 14 Street Union Square are: Take the L, N, Q, W, 4, 5, or 6 train, and get off on 14-Street and Union (obviously). Get off on the West or East side, and walk around the park and marketplace, but do NOT leave the circle area. Barnes and Noble is right past the crowded overflow of trees. Trust me, you'll notice them. It's also across from the construction area.
