A Shaun Cassidy Site's Webmaster's Page
You wanna know about me?  Here ya go!

THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION...PLEASE BEAR WITH ME!

First things first, my name is Annie and I'm a (soon to be) 43 year old mother of 3 boys (yep, I followed the Shirley Jones route!).  There's Michael, who is 12 and is my doppleganger (in every way...poor kid!); Patrick is next -- he's 11 and already has the ladies (old and young) charmed; and last, but certainly not least, there is Timothy who is 9 and is ALL BOY!  My kids are my life -- hurt them and you will pay.

I've been with hubby for 25 years...and if I get any further into that, I'll make you dizzy (or at the very least you'll think I live a soap opera life)!

Although I run a Shaun Cassidy website, I don't consider myself "obsessed" with Shaun (hubby will, however, try to tell you otherwise)!  As most of us were, I was introduced to him in 1977 by The Hardy Boys and his debut album.  I was a fan like most of us -- I had the posters, the records, watched the show religiously...but all good things must come to an end.  I honestly don't remember watching much of Breaking Away  (if any at all) and like most fans, I lost track of him after that.  It wasn't until 1994 when hubby took me to see Blood Brothers on Broadway that I got a look at the "grownup" Shaun!

When I got my first computer with internet in 1998, I immediately started searching him out.  But honestly, the search engines (and, indeed, the internet) were not what they are today and I didn't find out much.  Because I was a mother of 3 toddlers and under at the time also, I really didn't have the time.

When I got a new computer in 2001 was when I really found him again.  Because of all this searching out, I've made many friends on the internet who I now consider to be among my best friends.

I quickly caught up with shows that Shaun had created/written/produced and also things that he had acted in in the late 80s.  I now have quite a collection that I am quite proud of!

I've also had the good fortune of seeing Shaun Cassidy live and in person twice (three times if you count the concert I went to in 1978!)  and both of those sightings came within a few months of each other on different coasts!  The first time I saw him was in March, 2004 in California.  I had gone to see a band perform (The Jenerators) and since Shaun is good friends with the band, he was there.  Not only that, he got up on stage and SANG! (I have never wished more than I did that night that I had brought my video camera along with me!!).  I saw him again in July, 2004 when hubby took me to see 42nd Street  on Broadway.  It was, at the time, starring Patrick Cassidy and Shirley Jones and while I had absolutely no idea he was going to be there (or for that matter that he was there) you can imagine my surprise when I went to the stage door to get Patrick & Shirley's autographs and some pictures and saw Shaun standing there!

However, I should mention that I am extremely shy and have not (yet) gone up to him.  In both CA and NY he was with family/friends and I just wanted to give the guy a break.  He has to have some time when he's not "Shaun Cassidy".

But Shaun Cassidy is not all that interests me!  I have a great passion for music and love all types of different types of music.  I used to read more than I do now, but when I find a good book, I just devour it!  I also used to crochet and cross stitch and would love to take them up again; the trouble is find the time for it!

I'm anxious to go to college and take some courses.  I want to learn new things and although it took me 25 years from graduation (give or take) to figure this out, I can't wait to make this dream a reality!

I used to work full time, but with 3 school-aged kids, this has been a difficult endeavor.  I was making a pretty good living at being a temp (on my own terms), but the one firm I worked for almost exclusively for for the past 6 years closed their doors last year.  I am trying to drum up business, but with the economy the way it is right now, the jobs are scarce.  Although I know we need the income, I must admit I have enjoyed being a stay at home mom for the past 6 months or so.

Since January 1st I have been on a "diet" (although I'm loathe to call it that).  I've been doing well so far, and I'm excited to be living a healthier lifestyle and encourage everyone to try and change their bad eating habits.  Oh, and my inspiration?:

This is Bob...everyone say Hi Bob!

He's one of the trainers from The Biggest Loser.  He makes my heart go pitty-pat.  The fact that he's the same age as me just makes me more motivated!
