Primary School

 

In primary school, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, our students continue reviewing what they learned the previous year. They are introduced to larger  numbers and their vocabulary expands to make sentences that are longer and more complex. They also start learning to answer simple questions. Once the students have learned to read in English they are introduced to the Spanish alphabet and letter sounds. In our classroom we have an extensive collection of children books that we read every week.They also start writing words in Spanish. We play games that require reading and speaking. By the end of third grade they have learned new verbs and the new vocabulary will include food, family members, places, clothing, animals and body parts.
