 The city
Salamanca is 212 km from Madrid, to the Northwest in the historic region of Castile and Leon. In a small territory concentrates a very large amount of historic monuments. The University of Salamanca is the oldest in Spain and one of the first in Europe. A unique international student atmosphere characterizes this city, with a fourth of the population being university students. Famous for its nigh life attracts young people from all over the region but at the same time is said to be one of the safest cities in Spain. They have a pure Castilian accent. Many interesting places like Avila, Segovia, Burgos, Leon…, are less than two hours away.
The School
Colegio Delibes is situated in a historical building, five minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor. It has been recently restored, and equipped with the latest technology; twenty air-conditioned classrooms, a video and conference room, an audio lab, library and an IT room with free internet access, besides WI-FI. There is also an enclosed patio with a typical Castilian well where you can relax with a coffee and chat to other students during the breaks.
Our college is best characterized by its authentic international ambience with a complete program of after-class activities, most of which are free for our students. Accredited by Instituto Cervantes, offer Standard courses at all levels plus a variety of Special courses such as: Language and: Culture (Literature, Conversation, Translation, Tourism), Business Spanish, Preparation for DELE.
Prices for 2010: Standard course (20 h./week): 2 weeks 294 €, 3 weeks 410 €, 4 weeks 520 €
Special courses (25 h./week): 2 weeks 368 €, 3 weeks 525 €, 4 weeks 683 €
Accomodations
Accommodation is an essential part of our program. We offer our students different possibilities for lodging in Salamanca during their course:

"I have long dreamed of going to Spain and decided to go to Salamanca. I like that there are that many university students from different countries and that has such an active night life. To say the truth, I did not only want to study and rest, but to make new friends, which I did. Now we write each other and they invite me home. The city, this is a different story. I was so impressed by the beauty of the monuments that at firs I could not walk because I stopped at every building, which are made of a wonderful gold stone that shines with the sun.
