These websites are a great tool to learn new things.  They can be used by both teachers and students.  All websites come from credible sources.


 
Everything NASA

 

 
 
Nasa is the key resource for anything dealing with the solar system and space exploration. The website has many different links including news, missions and a page for kids.
 
 
This website is made specifically for students of all ages.  The sidebar lets the student choose their grade level (K-4, 5-8, 9-12, and higher education).  Right now students can enter for chance to name the next Mars Rover.  There is also podcasts, picture dictionaries for the younger students and homework help for the older students.

 
 
Nasa's website for children.  It contains many games for children to play that all have a space theme.  Each game has a skill level so all children can enjoy the games.  A great way to have fun while learning about the planets.

This website provides information about the Hubble Telescope.  It provides news, the telescope's discoveries, and an FAQ page.  Make sure to look at the gallery page which includes beautiful pictures that the telespope has captured of planets, stars, galaxies and other items in the universe.  It is a must see.  The site also includes a weekly podcast on differen space topics.
 
This website is written in three different reading levels- beginner, intermediate and advanced-so there is something for every age group.  You can toggle back and forth between the reading levels on each page.  The website is full of information on each planet from its atmosphere, it's latest news and pictures.  There are games and a way for people to keep their own journal.
 
This website is dedicated to the women who work for NASA.  It is great for young girls to look at who are considering a job in math, science or engineering.  It contains biographies of women who work for NASA and shows that there are more jobs than just being an astronaut.

This website is presented by the Formal Education Group of the Space Telescope Science Institute's Office of Public Outreach and has won numerous awards. The website includes numerous classroom activities for teachers and students, including games and homework help.

This website is presented by National Geographic, a science magazine for adults and kids. This website has a lot of interactive features including finding out what a person would weigh on each planet.
