So What Can I Eat? is a community education program offered by the St. Louis Diabetes Coalition and its partners. it is linked to the Coalition's Kick Diabetes service that provides one-on-one diabetes education services to participants in community settings, like coffee shops and libraries. For the third So What Can I Eat? program since last year, the Coalition welcomes nationally-acclaimed dietitian Pat Speirs RD, MS, CDE (Diabetes Program Director, Loyola University Chicago) to St. Louis on May 14, 2011. At the fashionable Chase Park Plaza Hotel, Ms. Speirs will discuss how carbohydrate counting can open the possibilities of enjoying favorite foods while managing diabetes successfully. The program will also include a question and answer session and presentation about other community resources for improving diabetes care.
