Welcome to the Sovereign Grace Church web site. Sovereign Grace Church is a church located in Des Moines, Iowa.  We seek to glorify God by faithfully proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ, preaching God's Word, and administering Christ's sacraments of communion and baptism.

We acknowledge that salvation is a sovereign work of God and not man. We believe that man is saved from God's wrath by grace alone, through faith alone, on account of the work of Jesus Christ alone. We would characterize our doctrine as reformed as we subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith.

We believe the church is in need of a second reformation and we seek to recover the light of the gospel in an age of great darkness. Post Tenebras Lux (after the darkness, light).
