... Where Families Learn and Grow Together
The South Spokane Co-op Preschool is an early learning experience for children in which parents take an active part. Young children receive developmentally appropriate stimulation in a classroom with other children, and adults learn valuable skills that help them be better parents.
Parent Participation is Key Children and parents attend coop together (each family attends once a week). While the children play and learn, the parents lead activities, prepare snack, participate in parent education sessions, and clean up. Parents also attend a monthly business meeting and participate in fund raising, field trip planning, and seminars. Classes run from September through May each year; Monday through Friday from 9:15-11:15 a.m. How to Enroll Enrollment is ongoing throughout the year if space is available. We encourage interested families to contact us for more information and to arrange for a visit. This will allow you to see our classes, meet the parents and facilitator, and see the program in action. Affiliation We are affiliated with Community Colleges of Spokane under the Institute for Extended Learning's Parent Cooperative Program. | In The NewsRead about South Spokane Co-op Preschool in the May 18th, 2009 Spokesman Review article:
