| The Senior Section of the club meets every Monday night from 7.30pm to 10.30pm in the Southport Railway Club.
Here you can partake in friendly games against other members with a broad range of ability. Competitions are held throughout the year ranging from one-night Lightning or Blitz tournaments through to all-against-all competitions running over several months. We have are two Senior teams in the Merseyside League and we also compete in Merseyside Cup and Lightning Competitions.
If you are interested in playing Chess on a friendly or competitive basis, just turn up to the Club any Monday evening to give it a try. You can attend for three times before deciding to become a Club member. |
| The Junior Section of the club meets on Monday nights during term-time from 6.30pm to 8.30pm in the Leyland Road Methodist Church Hall.
Structured tuition is provided to develop the chess skills and competences of the members, who also participate in friendly games and competitive tournaments.
