Changing Weather....during this tricky time of the year it is good to have a good combination of warm and cool clothes. One day it may be 65' and the following day we may have a foot of snow! Check with the teachers as well! You may have some back-up outfits that may no longer fit due to the growing children!
Mom & Son Construction Zone! March 3rd 10:30-12:30 We all had such a great time for our very first event! This event will also be added onto our regular rotation of events! It was a great time for moms to spend with their sons!
Daddy Daughter Dance! Feb. 12th was a great event! It was so precious to see all those loving daddies dancing with their daughters! Thank you for helping us make this a great event!
Multicultural Dinner Night! Jan. 26th 6:00pm in the Activity Room! Special Thanks to all the families that joined us for our very first Multicultural Dinner Night! We all had a great time and we plan on making this an annual event! Winter Menu Keep an eye out for our NEW Winter Menu! The Chef has worked very hard to remove many processed foods from our menu! Would you like to have lunch with your child? No Problem! Call ahead so that Steve, our Chef, will have enough servings for everyone!
Winter Gear If it is 32 degrees or above we will take the children out to play in the snow! It is important for the children to get fresh air and to be able to get out of the room twice aday. Please make sure your child has the following: Snow Pants, Boots, Gloves, Hat, & a Warm Coat. Please be sure to label your child's belongings as well so that they do not get confused with another child's gear. Thanks!
We are a Qualistar rated program: Four Stars!
Qualistar came in of July 2010 to do another full assessment of our program. For those of you new to the ELC, Qualistar is the state of Colorado’s more in-depth look at early care and education programs. They visited us and spent lots of time in our classrooms (3-4 hours in each room). They timed how long the children wash their hands, if the teachers ask higher level thinking questions, they looked at our educational backgrounds, and how we support families. It was long and arduous process but we always learn new ways of doing things better around here. At the end of all the poking and prodding, Qualistar awarded us four stars once again for the 3rd time!
If you have any questions about Qualistar, our previous rating or why in the world we would do this AGAIN?!! Stop by the office!
Appropriate shoes are very important for your child to have here at school! Shoes that fall off (crocs, slip-ons, flip-flops) or shoes that are too big or too small can be dangerous for your child as they climb, run, and jump on the playground. We want to keep your child safe! Please help us by making sure they come to school in appropriate shoes.
