Programs and Curriculum

Each stage of a child's development has unique needs.  Our classrooms and the interactions which happen there are designed to meet the needs specific to that stage of growth.  Each classroom is equipped for that particular age.  And each teacher is knowledgeable about the growth and development of his/her age group.

Please read about out program extras then click on the links below to find out more about each specific age group:

Food Program

We desire to provide healthy and nutritious meals to the children while they are here.  For that reason, we participate in the Colorado Deptartment of Public Health and Environment, Adult and Child Food Program which provides guidelines for what we serve and the amount.  In partnering with them, we provide 2/3rds of your child's daily nutritional requirements through breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.  Our full-time cook prepares most of our menu from scratch.  Click here to see a copy of our menus.  Parents are welcome to join their children for breakfast or lunch as well.

Outdoor Playground Areas

We have two wonderful outdoor play areas for the children.  The small playground is designed for children two and younger.  The large playground is for children three and older.

The small play area is specifically designed for toddlers, two and younger.  The poured-in-place rubber surface decreases cuts and scrapes.  The sandbox provides lots of opportunities for pouring, sifting, shoveling, and building.  The small playhouse encourages the children to practice their social skills as well as pretend play.  The toddlers enjoy the physical challenges that the small, play tree house and the riding and pushing toys provide.

The large playground is designed for the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarden classes.  It is also covered with the poured-in-place rubber surface, decreasing scrapes and cuts.  This area also has a sandbox, a large climber with slides and look-outs, a large playhouse and many riding toys.  We also have a garden which the children tend by planting seeds and plants in the spring and harvesting their crops as summer progresses.  There are many opportunites to practice social, gross and fine motor skills.
