I have been a student of material culture since my youth. My interest in the hobby was seeded in archery and early gunsmithing, and I my research has followed technological development until the cusp of the Industrial Revolution. I focus on 18th century goods, and earlier artifacts as they strike my fancy. As a native reenactor, most of the products that I need for my impression must be done by hand, and I have learned many techniques by studying original pieces and careful study of historic texts. This allows me to add textile and beaded goods as a creative outlet.
